Meet Katie Maroney, MHC-LP

Hello! I primarily work with adults and have experience supporting individuals in trauma recovery. My clinical background includes working with survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence, as well as addressing concerns such as anxiety, depression, addiction, relationship challenges, identity exploration, grief, religious trauma, codependency, and existential questions.

I am deeply committed to inclusive, socially conscious care, with an emphasis on understanding how systemic and structural factors shape mental health and overall well-being.

My Approach to Therapy

I strive to foster a positive relationship with clients by creating a safe space in which clients can feel comfortable sharing their needs and challenges, and where exploring emotions is encouraged and protected. I take a strengths-based approach to therapy, supporting and celebrating clients while also promoting empowerment and resilience.

Am I the right therapist for you?

  • Those presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, etc.

  • Clients who need a higher level of care.

  • Outside of my clinical work, my background in conservation has taken me to some incredible places—I’ve worked as a park ranger in Hawaii and as a native plant restoration technician in Glacier National Park. I’m an avid reader and enjoy dabbling in creative writing in my free time. I also love live music and grew up going to concerts in New York City, which continues to be one of my favorite ways to unwind and connect with others.
