Who will benefit from the “Seven Principles” workshop?

  • The Seven Principles Couples Program is appropriate for couples contemplating engagement, for pre-marital couples, for couples living together, and for couples who have been together or married for decades. This program is also open to couples exploring ethical non-monogamy or people in poly relationships, although there is no content in the workshop specifically targeting these topics.


  • Psychoeducational classes are not appropriate for all couples, including those with severe relationship distress, significant emotional or physical abuse, serious emotional or mental health problems, relationships where one or both partners are struggling with serious substance abuse or other compulsive behaviors, or relationships in which recent infidelity has occurred. Danielle reserves the right to provide referrals to couples therapy for couples who are not a good fit for this program. FAQs

Will we have to share our personal problems with the class?

No. The class does not include sharing problems or issues publicly. Couples Exercises are done privately, in Zoom breakout rooms.

Must both partners attend or can I come alone?

Since the class involces couples doing exercises together, both partners must participate.

Does the price include the workbooks?

No, Couples Guides need to be purchased separately. They are available as a Couples Set, which includes one guide for each partner, the Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work book by Dr. John Gottman, and card decks for use at home. They are also available individually as hard copies, or digitally. Each couple is required to have access to the Couples Guide in any of these formats.

I live outside of NY or PA, can my partner and I attend?

Yes! Since this is a psychoeducational workshop, it is not therapy and is not bound to traditional licensing laws. This workshop is open to anyone who can attend live in Eastern Standard Time.
