FAQs about the SSP

  • If using insurance to pay for sessions, SSP sessions are limited to 50 minutes. Depending on your level of nervous system regulation, you will also need to listen to the music on your own outside of session.

  • The SSP includes 5 hours of specifically filtered music to help stretch your nervous system and improve your sensitivity to stimuli.

  • This depends on each person’s level of nervous system activation. Some people can listen to the music for longer periods of time and can complete it quicker, and others can only listen for short periods which can take longer.

  • The SSP needs to be delivered primarily during 1:1 or group sessions with me. Each session is $200 per 50 minute session. The amount of sessions you will need depends on your level of nervous system activation and how well you tolerate the SSP. On average, this may take 5 or more sessions. Additionally, there is a fee of $30 per month for ongoing access to the MyUnyte app. Packages and payment plans are available.

  • Yes, I provide the SSP both in person and virtually.

  • Depending on your level of tolerance for the music, you can do calming, regulating activities such as coloring, playing with a fidget toy, knitting/crocheting, drawing, gentle movement, or other similar activities. High intensity exercise, screen time, or other highly stimulating activities are not recommended.
